Policy Statuses

Policy Statuses

Draft
When creating a policy the policy will be in "Draft" Status by default.  This will allow a user to work on the policy without it being visible to Parents/Families.  Draft policies will be visible to anyone with  Admin, Manager or Team Member role.

Published
When the policy is in a version you want visible to parents and all Team Members, you can publish the policy.  Simply press the "publish" button and this will make your policy document live.

Users will be able to view, leave comments (internal users) or feedback (external users), download the document in PDF etc

Review
There are different scenarios that will arise causing a policy to be in 'Review" state.

Reviewing an already published Policy
When in Review state the already published policy will still be visible, however you will be free to make changes to it and work on a new version of the policy, without impacting the published version.  Once satisfied with the reviewed policy, simply submit the policy for final approval and any team member with Admin or Manager role will be able to publish this policy.

If you have a policy that is linked to a Desktop policy, updating the policy will be done via the Compare Tab

Reviewing an unpublished Policy
When working on a policy that is in Draft state, submitting the policy for approval - will place it in review state.  Anyone with Admin or Manager role will be able to publish this policy, thus changing the status to Published
